Building Teams 1-Day Seminar
Building a solid proactive forward thinking team has never been more important or difficult than it is today. The amount of information and the speed it travels coupled with the rate of change in today’s work environment has increased the effort required to keep a team focused on, and dedicated to, it’s mission. And if the environment isn’t enough, the make-up of the teams today are more diverse. We are asking team leaders to govern a group of people (possibly being) made up from different: cultures, generations, educational backgrounds, computer skills, sexual orientation, work experience, values, and some with disabilities. This is not a job for the faint of heart. Forming groups of people into a team is difficult at best and even more so without the proper training or experience.
This course breaks down the building of teams into separate segments and explains how each one is developed and works in unison with the rest. It starts with the initial forming of the team and takes the participants through the building, maintaining, and finally the disbanding of a team that has accomplished it’s mission. Good teams don’t just happen – a competent leader builds them.
